He doesn't look that great in the photo. Maybe just a bad photo.

This just makes me so sad. He started his career so well with 4 wins in a row including those two stakes wins. I hope this owner is a good one and treats him well. I googled them and came up with nothing.MTO wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 4:31 pmMTO wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 4:26 pmMTO wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 4:20 pm

Spun To Run training well toward the Cigar Mile. Looks like it will be a showdown with Maximum Security.

Spun To Run yesterday morning on the track. Trainer on the white pony. Love the affection shown with the pat and hug on the neck.

The trainer, Juan Carlos Guerrero, gives him lots of hugs and affection. In the Breeders Cup Winners Circle Photo, the trainer appears to be hugging Spun to Run from the rear of the horse. It's the bottom photo here:Happy Endings wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2019 8:43 pm Spun To Run yesterday morning on the track. Trainer on the white pony. Yes, it's really cool to see that kind of emotion. After his win in that listed stakes at Parx he gave him a kiss on the fanny in the winners circle. It's obvious the horse means a lot to him. Understandable, since Spun To Run gave him his first stakes win, and then some. Would be amazing if he could win the Cigar, too.MTO wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2019 9:51 pmThe trainer, Juan Carlos Guerrero, gives him lots of hugs and affection. Things may be getting really interesting for Spun To Run in the Cigar. Today, suddenly, according to a post on the Fox Hill Farm FB page, Omaha Beach is pointing to either the Malibu or the Cigar. 7 days ago they named the Malibu only. So now the Cigar has been added. So if Maximum Security goes, too, the Cigar will be quite a race. Man, dare we hope that Spun To Run could beat both of them. Again, I expect most to consider him a longshot against those two, even though he already beat OB in the Dirt Mile. OB's connections said after that race that OB was much the best. I think OB didn't prove that on the track. Could be that going in the Cigar may be an attempt to prove that. And finishing in front of MS could give OB the 3yo Eclipse. That may be in their reasoning, too. Neither of the other two have posted a Beyer as high as Spun To Run, and he's done it twice. I hope he can do it again. Maybe finally he will get some respect.
EDIT: Just saw this article about it. And, as expected, in the comments just about everyone assumes it will be a 2-horse race. It would be so cool if Spun To Run could win. Fingers crossed.

Goodbye Earl had a nice allowance win at Churchill in race #8 today. Her second start off a 5-month layoff. Overcame a wide trip and won by 3 lengths.

Perhaps a little redemption today for Green Light Go, as Tiz the Law finishes third in the Jockey Club behind an 87-1 shot in second. Green Light Go regressed in the Champagne. He had posted higher number in the Saratoga Special than Tiz the Law did in beating him in the Champagne. So I was skeptical about Tiz the Law being THE buzz horse he was made out to be following the Champagne. He certainly didn't look it today, either.

It was a Hard Spun exacta in the 10th for 2yos at Churchill today. Necker Island and Silver State duked it out down the stretch, with the former nosing out the latter at the wire. Necker Island is now 3-2-0-1 and Silver State is now 2-1-1-0. Appear to be two nice 2yos.

TIMELINE worked 5 furlongs at Remington Park on 11/27/2019. Workout report said Steve Asmussen is trainer but not sure if that is correct. TIMELINE was sold at the Nov sale.

SPUN TO RUN Bullet workout 11/30/2019 - 1 of 22 at Parx 5 furlongs.
NECKER ISLAND 2yo colt, won a 1 mile allowance race at Churchill on dirt - by a nose over SILVER STATE, another hard spun colt.
Both 2yo colts look to be on the upward swing with good race records . Expect one or both of them show up in stakes races soon.
