Ol Sanish finished 2nd in her debut at CD in R4, beaten 1 3/4 lengths. Just couldn't run down the leader.
J to the Croft (o/o A to the Croft) was 3rd in R6 at Bel, beaten 6 1/2 lengths. He showed a little at the end but was no match for the winner. Likely could have gotten 2nd if the jockey had moved earlier.

Palace Malice of course took the Met mile in impressive fashion. He is headed to the Whitney at Saratoga for his next start
Ride on Curlin had some bleeding issues and DNF in the Belmont. He will have the summer off
Curlin's Princess (2yo f. o/o Image of Mom) won the 4th at GP by an easy 4 1/2 lengths in her second try on Saturday. As far as I know she is Curlin's first winner from this crop.
La Grange (2yo f. o/o stakes winner Jennie R by Awesome Again) was second in her debut at Arlington in R3 today

She makes it 7 for 7 in stakes record time. Goin to the Window was coming late but she had enough to hold on for the win.ChampionCurlin wrote:Stopshoppingdebbie is running today in the Washington State Legislators Handicap at Emerald.

6 1/2 furlongs in 1:14.2 going 5 wide in the turn is competitive enough to run in better races. Man I wish she would get the chance to race in graded company. I think she would win.
Del Mar has stakes all summer. I'm not sure what her best distance is, but try her in the Rancho Bernardo Handicap at 6 1/2 furlongs. Shoot it's even worth a shot in the Clement Hirsch at 1 1/16. She has won at both distances, maybe the poly track is a drawback though. As it is, she is probably pointed to the Boeing Handicap July 6 at Emerald

Maybe I read them wrong, but 6.5f at 1:14.20 would have broken the track records at Belmont, Gulfstream, Santa Anita, and Churchill Downs. Maybe others.Barbaro06 wrote:6 1/2 furlongs in 1:14.2 going 5 wide in the turn is competitive enough to run in better races. Man I wish she would get the chance to race in graded company. Excerpt from this article: "there have even been rumblings she could face males in the August 24 Longacres Mile."

Her time in the Irish Day H. would have won 7 of the last 10 runnings of that race. I hope she goes. She's more than capable.

That would be a good spot for her too. Let her show she is the best horse not just Mare at Emerald. I did see this article that says they are pointing her to the Breeders Cup this fall.

I wonder what BC race they are pointing towards and what distance the trainer thinks she is best at.

Jay Eye See was 2nd in R9 at Mth today. Took the lead in the stretch and got nailed at the wire.
Flash Forward and Blue Violet were in the G3 Obeah Stakes and finished 5th and 7th, respectively. No excuses that I saw. I was expecting good races out of both, especially Blue Violet, but she looked sort of lethargic the whole race.

Charismata , 3 yo filly by Curlin - Jack's Little Girl by Broad Brush, finished 2nd at Emerald Downs today. She was four-wide on the turn and made a nice little rally; lost to the favorite by 1 1/4 lengths. She now 5-1-2-1.

Is she who Rosie was on? Gosh that's heartbreaking. The one thing I have noted about the Curlins is they all seem fairly sturdy. I haven't heard about any breaking down until now. She was a really nice filly.second_glance wrote:4yo Socialbug broke down fatally this morning at CD. The lightly raced filly had a record of 7-3-3-0, $173,712.

A Shin the Head won the Yodo Tokubetsu Stakes at Kyoto on June 1. God that's an awful name. He's now won 2 in a row. His three races before that were 2nd, 3rd, and 3rd. Showing great improvement with each outing.
Dilga (o/o Baghdaria) was 4th in the local G2 Kanto Oaks at Kawasaki on June 11.

FYI, Savanna La Mar is now running in the UAE and is doing quite well there. She was 3rd in the Tabouk Reg. Gov. Cup in May and is ranked 2nd on the imported leaders' board.

Curlin's exported babies are doing really well.
