Curlins 1st 2yr old (to the best of my knowledge) to run this year was Curlin's Princess (2012 f. o/o Image of Mom) she was 2nd in her debut a MSW at GP on 5/16. She lost to Lookin at Lucky's 1st winner Lucky'stormwarning. She was gaining on her and may have won but she shied hard from the whip and lost her momentum.

Reversiontothemean was 2nd in a MSW at Suffolk (R6). Was coming on strong at the end but missed it by just a nose.

Blue Violet was 2nd in the Winter Melody Stakes at Delaware. She was overtaken in the stretch but fought back for the place.

Curlin is on a roll today! Timeless Pleasure broke her maiden at Emerald Downs in the 3rd by 2 lengths

Socialbug was 2nd in the G3 Winning Colors at CD Yesterday. She set the pace but was caught in the stretch.

Also a new worker

Curalina posted her first official work at Saratoga. She went 3 furlongs in 38.76 was 16/32 for the distance.

It would seem she will make her first start at Saratoga. Their meet begins July 15. She should be in Todd Pletchers barn. I'm not sure if she will be running under Eclipse's colors or Dogwoods, but she is part of a partnership they have formed. I was able to meet her in Aiken, and love this filly.

She's Curly (dam is 3/4 to Super Espresso) broke her maiden in R9 at Pim today with a strong closing drive.

Dyker Beach was 2nd in R8 at CD. Was coming quick and just missed it by a neck.

I think it's interesting to note, this is her first race back off a claim. In her previous barn she posted 2 last place efforts and managed 3rd out of 6 in the race where she was claimed. Hopefully she will be more successful with this new trainer.

Inspired by Grace (1/2 to Concord Point) broke her maiden today in her third attempt in R5 at Pim by 2 3/4 lengths. Her previous two starts had both been 2nd place.

Slip By broke his maiden in R7 at Del today by a half length, collaring the leader in the stretch.

Curlin's Gold was 3rd in the Leave Me Alone Stakes at Calder today, beaten 1 3/4 lengths. Was caught in the stretch and missed the place by a neck.

Lots of winners and stakes performers lately.

Diversy Harbor ran 2nd in the G1 American Oaks at SA today. She broke a bit poorly and had to reroute at the top of the stretch but closed very well to get the place. Even with a clean trip I don't know that she would have made it to the winner.

Lin Marie was 3rd in her debut in R6 at Pim, beaten 8 lengths. Didn't get off to the best start and was 5 wide off the turn but was rallying at the end.

I would bet she'll run under Eclipse silks. Here's a lovely headshot.
